The Tigres UANL overcame Mazatlán FC by 4 goals to 3, after a game where relaxation and some defensive inattentions could leave the team led by Miguel Herrera without the three points.
Under a torrential downpour, the Tigres showed off their hometown to show their new reinforcements, in addition, were able to continue with their improvement in the table after having lost in their opening match in the Torneo Clausura 2022.
