In the match between Rayos del Necaxa and Tuzos del Pachuca something unprecedented happened: several of the red-and-white footballers played with torn socks, as if they were an amateur team, something that the referee noticed during the match and immediately prohibited.
It is common knowledge that the players cover their feet in the way that seems most comfortable to them, perhaps for this reason the Rayos players chose to cut the socks to the ankle height; however, the modification was visible, something that is not allowed by regulation and they had to be changed.
Outside the field, various fans noticed this “intervention” in the uniform and began to upload photos to social networks; also on the field the referee Marco Antonio Ortiz Nava noticed and immediately ordered all the team players to change their clothes, regardless of whether they had them complete or not.
Some elements did it on the bench and others on the way to the locker room, but this action caused the match to be delayed for seven minutes, although in the end it could be resumed and was held without further incident.
In sports, the duel held at the Victoria Stadium ended with a score of 1-3 in favor of the Blue and Whites, with goals from Romario Ibarra, Avilés Hurtado and Nicolás Ibañez for the Tuzos ; while Facundo Batista discounted for the locals in compensation time.
