The events that occurred in Buenos Aires, Argentina, have already been confirmed by the local police, who collected the testimonies of the relatives of those affected; some indicated that they bought the drug in a place known as Puerta 8 de Tres de Febrero.
“They used drugs with rat poison, which they bought at Gate 8, after watching the game of the Argentina soccer team against Colombia (…) When they returned, the friend fell ill, they took him to the hospital and he died right away,” said the mother of one of the young people hospitalized.
Another woman identified as María narrated that a boy had “his dead girlfriend in the house” and was just waiting for an ambulance to show up to transfer the body to the corresponding expert services; she also bought drugs at Gate 8. “Everyone went to buy on the same side, in the official part it says it was rat poison,” said María.
A man named Leonard Guevara, 39 years old, was admitted to the Hospital San Bernardino de Hurlingham in serious condition for the same reason: adulterated drug.
Operational and detained
For For his part, a spokesman for the Ministry of Health announced that there is an alert epidemiological, because its emergency services continued to register people in serious condition due to cocaine use. “There are deaths on public roads and in homes that have not yet been identified,” he concluded.
The news prompted a police operation , in which they were arrested drug traffickers in a house in the Tres de Febrero neighborhood, where the cocaine was mixed and sold. In addition, the local Prosecutor’s Office asked drug dealers to dispose of the recently purchased drug due to the mortal risk.
