In addition to the NFL conference finals, the sports news in the United States was stolen by Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady. Once again the historic player weighs the decision to retire from American football , according to press reports.

In the first instance, media such as ESPN or Bleach Report assured that Brady would put an end to his prodigious career after not transcending this season and staying out of Super Bowl LIV.

But it was the quarterback himself who he settled all the rumours, but he didn’t confirm anything either: the decision to retire goes through his head.

“Sometimes, it takes some time to really assess how you feel and what you want to do. When the time is right, I’ll be ready to make a decision, one way or another”

On the Apple Podcast Let’s Go! by Jim Gray, TB22 explained that the decision to leave the sport he loves so much cannot be taken lightly: “Still I am going through the process that I said I was going through”.

Brady also stressed that he did not know he will rush to answer questions about a possible retirement and that he understands that he cannot control everything that happens in his entire environment and the media that closely follows them. This regarding the communicational handling that took place on Saturday when some took the goodbye of the seven-time NFL champion almost for granted.

“There is a lot of interest in what I am going to stop playing, I understand. But when I know, I’ll know and when I don’t know, I don’t know (…) I’m not going to rush to any conclusion about that”

Always irreverent Jim Gray, told him if the decision to retire had really been made but he took steps back to “shut up the rumours”, to which the marshal was emphatic in responding:

“My motivation to play football is to win and be successful, and maybe there are little parts of the motivation that come from places or what people may say or think. I am mostly motivated from within and want to be the best for my teammates, my coaches and my organization. It is where my motivation has been for a long time”
