Without making excuses, the Mexico coach Gerardo Martino pointed out that his coaches did not offer a good game and assume all the responsibilities of the bad show against Costa Rica at the Azteca Stadium.

“The game in general for Mexico was bad, especially in the first half, I think we corrected it a bit in the second half. In the first 25′, 30′ minutes we had more dynamics and speed in circulation, but in general we played badly“, commented Gerardo Martino.

Taking into account that the next commitment is a direct duel against Panama, ‘Tata’ assured that this match should be taken as a final because there is only one point of difference between the two.

“The match against Panama is still a final, it was before this FIFA Date, it continued to be after the win against Jamaica and their defeat in Costa Rica, and it is again now that we tied and they won at home against Jamaica. We have a decisive game again and obviously a game that is practically worth the chances of securing a place in the World Cup”, he added.

He made bad decisions

One of The points that the coach of Mexico recognized were the decisions he made and that unfortunately did not bear fruit, accusing the fact of having a “bad night” making it clear that because of that he could not achieve the three points in the Azteca.

“These are games that happen, sometimes we have to play better, sometimes worse, today was a bad night, but a bad night for everyone, including my decisions too . From the beginning to what I did throughout the game”, added the Mexico coach.

Finally, the fans criticized the work of Gerardo ‘Tata’ Martino from the stands where they asked for his departure from the technical direction of Mexico, taking into account that only approximately two thousand people entered, to which he replied that “nothing else has to be respected and try to improve”.

Mexico will face the Panama National Team next Wednesday in a transcendental duel for both teams, after placing third and fourth, with a difference point in the table.
