Video captured the moment that three Houston police officers were shot by a Hispanic during a chase

HOUSTON – Houston Police are investigating a shooting that left three

of your officers shot in the downtown area this Thursday afternoon.

The incident occurred on the block 2100 of McGowen Street at around 2: 54 pm, according to the authorities.

Initial police reports indicate that the officers involved were responding to a call of a disturbance on the block 1200 from Tralle Street when a chase began.

A video released by ABC13 captured the moment the chase ended when the suspect crashed onto McGowen Street.

The suspect at some point got out of the vehicle and gunshots began to be heard in the when the police arrive in their patrol cars on the scene.

The suspect managed to escape on foot and is currently barricaded in an apartment near the area where the shooting occurred.

The suspect was identified as Roland Caballero.

The officers were taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital and are in stable condition, according to police.

Witnesses in the area have said that they were heard around 30 gunshots.

A motive for the shooting has not been released and Police are asking area residents to stay away from the scene.
