Tigres UANL wink at Luis Suárez: “I had a dream”

Los Tigres UANL gave a nod to Uruguayan soccer player Luis Suárez, who ends his contract with Atlético de Madrid in June. The Mexican club took advantage of the call of striker Nicolás López to the Uruguayan team and published a photo of López with Suárez.

“Last night I had a dream. And what did you dream of?”, was the text published by Tigres on their social networks along with a photo of Luis Suárez and Nico López together in a training session for the Uruguayan team, which faces Paraguay this Thursday.

Nicolás ‘Diente’ López could debut with the senior team of his country, since previously he was only considered for the Sub- team of Uruguay.

However, the Uruguayan striker, who was the scoring champion in the championship Apertura 2021 and shared with Germán Berterame, led him to be summoned for the first time in the Diego Alonso’s first payroll.

Uruguay adds four consecutive defeats in the Conmebol Qualifiers heading to Qatar 2022 and is in seventh place in the table, one point behind fourth place, which is currently Colombia.

The match against Paraguay will be the debut of Diego Alonso on the Uruguayan bench after of the departure of Óscar Washington Tabárez.

Uruguay will begin this Thursday with his visit to Paraguay and will close next Tuesday, when receive Venezuela at the Montevideo stadium.

After the 1-0 win over Ecuador, they drew goalless against Colombia, before adding three losses. They lost 4-1 to Brazil, then 0-1 to Argentina and, finally, 3-0 to Bolivia.
