Iran sealed its ticket to the World Cup and there are 14 teams qualified for Qatar 2022

The Iran National Team qualified for the World Cup in Qatar 2022 after beating the Iraq National Team by 1 goal to 0, with the Porto player, Mehdi Taremi, to play for the sixth World Cup and the third in a row.

In a match where the Iraqis tried to spoil the Iranians’ party at the Azadi stadium in the city of Tehran, but the Persians endured the first half without goals and it served them well to study their rivals and be able to define the commitment.

Already for the second half, those led by the Croatian Dragan Skocic came out to close the spaces of the Iraqis to dominate the first minutes. For the minute 50′ of the match , Mehdi Taremi scored the necessary score to complete his pass to the next World Cup.

With 19 Points of 21 possible, Iran has consecutively qualified for the World Cups in Brazil 2018, Russia 2018 and now to Qatar 2022, although in the previous two they could not transcend the group stage. On the other hand, with the Persian classification they add up 14 selections that will be the next World Cup event.
