FBI looking for suspect in serial robbery at Southern California banks

The FBI is looking for a suspect in committing serial robberies and that he would be responsible for 01 assaults or attempted bank robbery in southern California.

The robberies, in banks in the Los Angeles and Orange counties, were reported between October 2021 and January of 2022.

The suspect was dubbed by the FBI as the “man in the green scarf” due to the mask that he used in several assaults to cover his face and neck. However, he has used masks of other colors with which he has been seen on various security cameras.

The description of the subject is of a white male, between 50 Y 60 years old, approximately 6’0″ tall, medium to heavy build with gray hair .

The authorities reported that the first robbery attempt occurred on October at the Union Bank branch in 911 N. Harbor Boulevard, near Hillcrest Park, in Fullerton, where the suspect fled before being able to obtain the money, from according to the FBI.

The assaults also occurred at banks in Huntington Beach, Torrance, Gardena, Costa Mesa and Mission Viejo.

The attempted robbery most recent occurred on Friday at a Wells Fargo branch in 1396 N. Rose Drive, in Placentia.

When you try to committing a robbery, the suspect gives the cashier a note with a message ordering him to hand over the money

. After receiving it, he escapes from the bank on foot, the FBI reported.
