Two of Mexico’s most popular rock en español bands, Elefante and Inspector, are touring together and they will bring their music to Southern California this weekend. Tonight they will offer a concert at the Giggles Nightclub (187 N. Brand Blvd., Glendale) and will continue around the area in the coming days, in Bakersfield on February 3 and in Oxnard on February 5. They will then continue through various cities across the country, including Chicago, Virginia, New York and New Jersey. Today’s concert is at 9 pm. Tickets $28 to $70. Reports rockerosla.com.
Mexican music
The band Marca MP, which performs banda and mariachi music, will offer a concert at the Toyota arena (2250 Ontario Center, Ontario), where she will perform the songs that have made her popular, including “El güero”, the song they performed with Grupo Firme. Romantic concert
Charlie Zaa, who a few decades ago was a sensation with his interpretation of classic boleros, returns to Los Angeles to offer a concert at the Stevens Steak and Seafood House restaurant (5332 Stevens Pl., Commerce). The Colombian interpreter will sing pieces from “Sentimiento” and “Un Segundo Sentimiento”, his best-known albums. Family Day
The Catalina Museum for Art & History (217 Metropole Ave., Avalon) wants to inspire the new generation of museum visitors and to do so invites the entire family to its Family Free Day, where attendees can enjoy the venue’s collection as well as special exhibits. An art project is also offered for families in the Hinchliffe Family Atrium at 11 am to 3 pm. Up to two adults can enter for free when accompanying a visitor from 17 years or younger. Free Zoo
As part of the Seniors Free program, the San Diego Zoo Safari Park (15500 San Pasqual Valley Rd., Escondido) offers free admission to all seniors 60 years. Banksy in LA
Banksy: Genius or Vandal, the exhibition dedicated to the famous and enigmatic British artist is now available in the D building of a Los Angeles venue (10113 Jefferson Blvd., Culver City). The sample includes 60 genuine pieces and works of art certified. The pieces belong to private collectors from various parts of the world, and the experience is a guided tour through the artist’s career. Monday to Friday 10 am to 7 pm; closed on Tuesdays. Dinosaurs ‘live’
