Police: Brothers beat their stepfather to death; allegedly sexually abused his own nine-year-old daughter

TEXAS – Two Hispanic brothers are in jail and accused of beating their stepfather to death

after learning that the man allegedly sexually assaulted their nine-year-old half-sister.

The two brothers, Christian Treviño, from 17 years old, and Alejandro Treviño, aged 18 years old, accompanied by a friend, Juan Eduardo Meléndez, aged 19 years old, have been accused of having beaten to death the stepfather of the brothers on 20 January of the current year.

The stepfather’s body was found by a person in a vacant field in McAllen, Texas.

The body of Gabriel Quintanilla, aged 42, was discovered with notorious head trauma.

The 9-year-old girl, who was allegedly sexually abused as the son of Quintanilla, the half-sister of the accused brothers.

The Police announced that the little girl was allegedly touched inappropriately by his father that 20 January inside a Movil House.

In a statement, the Pharr Police Department in Hidalgo County revealed that the girl’s half-siblings realized that Quintanilla had assaulted sexually the girl and became furious. The brothers went to confront their stepfather.

The confrontation turned violent and the brothers began beating Quintanilla. The stepfather managed to get out of the mobile home and went to an apartment complex.

Cristian Treviño chased Quintanilla a pir while Meléndez and Alejandro Treviño went to the complex by car and in the apartment facilities they hit Quintanilla again. Quintanilla among the three.

After hitting Quintanilla they left the apartment complex, but a little later they saw Quintanilla again on the street and attacked him once. third time, after beating him they put him in a van and took him to a vacant lot where he was abandoned.

The Treviño and Meléndez brothers remain jailed on bail between $1 and $1.5 million dollars. Christian and Melendez face capital murder charges, with all three facing aggravated assault.
