A Hispanic man 29 years old, accused of participating in a mass shooting in November of 2019, could face the death penalty, informed the Fresno County Prosecutor’s Office.
Accompanied by Three other men, Anthony Montes, opened fire during a gathering where a group of friends were watching a football game. Porge Kue and Ger Leese could also face capital punishment for the murder of four people.
The three opened fire in a neighborhood located east of Fresno where they also injured six others of Asian origin. The last implicated, Billy Xiong, could be sentenced to life in prison without access to bail.
According to Police spokesman, Bill Dooley, the incident took place in the backyard of a house located at number 300 of Lamona Avenue, near Peach Avenue, in East Fresno. The victims, all men of Asian origin, were watching a game between Los Angeles Rams and Chicago Bears.
“We know it was a gathering of friends. Everyone was watching the football game that night when the suspects slipped into the yard and opened fire.”
Xiong, Montes and Kue were arrested on 31 from December to 2019; Lee, the latest suspect, was booked into the Fresno County Jail in February 2020, after being arrested in Minnesota.
