English tourist killed by stray bullet in Atlanta residences

A man of English nationality, identified as Matthew Wilson, died after being shot in the head

in residences located in Brookhaven, Atlanta.

Police responded to multiple calls reporting a shooting at an apartment complex down the block 2022 off Buford Highway. As officers were checking the area, they received a call from 911 regarding the murdered victim.

Upon arrival they found Wilson’s body, lying on a bed with a gunshot to the head. Of 31 years, the man was a doctor who was visiting and was from England.

Despite receiving medical assistance at the scene of the events, the man he did not resist the wound and was pronounced dead on arrival at a hospital on Clairmont Road.

The local police provided contact numbers in order to find the whereabouts of the perpetrators of the shooting that began on Buford Highway .

This is the second time in the last month that a death has been registered due to the impact of a stray bullet from a firearm in the United States, after that last 24 December a girl from 14 years old died in Los Angeles when she was hit by a projectile while she was in a dressing room of a clothing store.

The young woman was of Chilean nationality and had emigrated with her father to the United States in search of a better quality of life.
