The situation that Cruz Azul experiences with the player Guillemo ‘Pol’ Fernández, keeps the directors of La Maquina disappointed for not having reported in recent days, while it is speculated that the Argentine is negotiating with Boca Juniors.
Fernández had requested a special permit for a family matter to travel to Argentina, however, from the South American country they assured that the player himself is in Buenos Aires looking to sign a contract with the group Xeneixe, while the president of La Maquina, Álvaro Davila, spoke on a program of ESPN Argentina due to the situation.
“We are confused because after showing great interest and support from Pol for the efforts we were making for the arrival of new players, there was suddenly a very drastic shift in their stance. He put that family problem first, we are here to support him, but since it is not so clear, the truth is that we feel disappointed by his position,” Dávila told ESPN Argentina.
Speculation about whether it was a real family problem or not, has been what has generated the manager’s annoyance. “ It has not been clear . We don’t like that, but I can understand it if your problem is serious and we are here to listen in a serious and formal way. It is what we deserve for the respect and support we have given him,” he added.
Cruz Azul set ‘Pol’ Fernández as the deadline for presentation at La Noria until the next 24 of January, according to President Álvaro Dávila.
