Two relatives of the drug trafficker Joaquín “el Chapo” Guzmán Loera were arrested for being operators of the Sinaloa Cartel (CDS) in Chile, as confirmed by the national prosecutor of that country, Jorge Abbott. According to the authorities, these people were in charge of cocaine shipments from South America to the Netherlands.

According to information from the Chilean National Prosecutor’s Office, the detainees were identified as the brothers Ricardo and Yolanda Salazar Tarriba, who are related to Chapo Guzmán’s first wife, María Alejandrina Salazar Hernández .
It should be remembered that María Alejandrina is the mother of two of “los Chapitos”, Iván Archivaldo and Jesús Alfredo Guzmán Salazar, for whom the United States offers a reward of five million dollars. “They are related to the Sinaloa Cartel, who are close relatives of Chapo Guzmán,” declared Jorge Abbott.

Although their capture was barely made public, it is known that both were arrested in March 2021 and attempted to ship 1466 pounds of cocaine that would arrive at the port of Rotterdam, the Netherlands, in Europe.
