During his first year in office speech, President Joe Biden highlighted economic progress, including job creation in his Administration, but acknowledged that Americans are feeling “frustrated” due to the COVID-19 before the Omicron variant.
“The work is not finished,” acknowledged the president. “It has been a year of challenges, but it has also been a year of tremendous progress.”
He listed the creation of six million jobs and that the unemployment rate was reduced to 3.9%, but he addressed the challenge posed by the pandemic.

He said that the US is in a better position to face the pandemic and keep businesses and schools open.
“We have the tools: vaccines, boosters, masks, tests, pills to save lives ”, he stated.
