Danielle Shapiro wanted to get the most out of a $50$50 all-you-can-eat sushi buffet and ended up in a hospital emergency room.
The woman of 30 years devoured 32 sushi rolls at Sushi Restaurant 85 in Mountain View, California, last month.
After the binge, Shapiro was taken to the emergency room
with severe stomach pains.

Shapiro shared the experience in a TikTok on 23 of December, in which he shows the mountains food that she ate in one sitting and the subsequent trip to the hospital that left her with intravenous lines in her arms.

“All you can eat sushi gone wrong…”, she captioned her snapshot.
In a video shared on December 22, he gave more details about your experience.
“I am a huge fan of sushi. I like to eat it a couple of times a month if I’m lucky,” Shapiro said, adding that she had planned a Japanese dinner trip with her friend.
“We were both looking forward to trying the all you can eat sushi experience.
“Our dinner lasted about two hours, because we were so full that we had to keep taking breaks”, she added.
Started with miso soup, four gyozas and jalapeños. He then moved on to eight green dragon rolls, eight snow rolls, eight California rolls, eight wakame rolls, and one serving of edamame.
Shapiro then revealed what happened after his monstrous meal. “Immediately after dinner we were so full that we had to sit in my car for a few 30 minutes before driving to house”, he said.
“My stomach felt very firm from all the sushi and probably the rice that expanded in my stomach.”
He went to his partner’s house to try to sleep.
“That night I went to sleep at my boyfriend’s house and I had the worst stomach ache, but I didn’t think much of it since I ate a lot! I’m not a morning person, so when I woke up around 6am the next day I knew something was wrong,” she said.
Around the 20% of Americans, including sushi lover Danielle Shapiro, suffer from acid reflux symptoms.
“My stomach and chest were in severe pain and it was difficult to take a deep breath.”
According to reports, her boyfriend and grandmother She was taken to the hospital, where she was diagnosed with acid reflux and given medication to relieve her pain.
People experience acid reflux when stomach acid backs up into the esophagus, according to the Mayo Clinic.

After the treatment, Shapiro admitted that it took him several days to recover and feel normal again. Despite her trauma, she won’t give up her favorite dish. “I will definitely eat sushi again! This experience hasn’t ruined my sushi or all-you-can-eat experience. I did it the next time I need to listen to my body and take things slower,” she learned.
