The Secretary of National Defense announced that elements of the Army and Air Force seized a shipment containing methamphetamine, cocaine, fentanyl, opium gum, marijuana, weapons and vehicles in the border state of Sonora, in northern Mexico, resulting from the tracking of an illicit aircraft.
Through the radar installed in Hermosillo, which provides coverage in the Northwest portion of the country, detected that an aircraft was flying an unidentified route, upon verifying its information, it was found that its registration had expired and did not correspond to the aircraft of its type, therefore, in a first phase, it ordered the takeoff of a T-C6+ aircraft as an aerial interception unit; Subsequently, the second phase of the interception operation was activated, deploying an airmobile reaction force with military personnel aboard a h helicopter UH-60 “Black Hawk”.
