“We're here, fucking”: Sevilla's controversial tweet to refer to Mexican fans

Jesús “Tecatito” Corona arrived at Sevilla in the first division of Spanish soccer. The former Porto footballer arrives at a club that is fighting inch by inch LaLiga against Real Madrid. The arrival of the Mexican to the club generated much expectation. The Aztec fans were excited about his signing and the Spanish team gave them a curious welcome.

We’re here, fucking”, said the meme published by Sevilla in reference to the thousands of Mexican fans who filled the team’s social networks after the arrival of Jesús Corona at the club . Although some found it funny, for others this fact was deplorable.

The debate lies in that this type of customs has cost El Tri multiple fines. The Mexican Football Federation ( FMF) and FIFA fight to eradicate the “discriminatory shout” in the stadiums. In this sense, some users criticized this bad reference to associate Mexicans.

Criticisms against Sevilla

Andrés Guardado and Real Betis were also criticized

After Diego Lainez won the bronze medal at the Games Tokyo Olympics 2021, Real Betis made a video to congratulate him in which the voice of Andrés Guardado is heard exclaiming: “We are a medal of bronze, fucking ”. As with Sevilla, this publication was highly criticized.
