Ignacio López Tarso, actor of the Mexican Golden Cinema, celebrates his 97th birthday in a big way

With one of the longest acting careers in Latin America and with the same love for his profession as the day he started, the first actor Ignacio López Tarso celebrates his birthday number 97. Read on for the details!

This Saturday 15 of January, the protagonist of tapes such as “El hombre de papel” and “El gallo de oro” meets 97 years, becoming one of the longest-lived histriones in the medium, so his celebration represents a great goal for him.

According to the first actor, this new year of life will be celebrated in the company of his loved ones: the children and grandchildren who live near him.

“I am going to be with my children and grandchildren, the closest ones. I have one very far away in New York and another in Mexicali, and those who are very close here will be with me. It will be a nice meal, with my 3 children, about 8 grandchildren and some 15 great-grandchildren“, shared Ignacio López Tarso in an interview with the program “Hoy”.

Likewise, Don Ignacio spoke about the illusion that makes him approach the 97 years of life and even announced that he would love to celebrate it by starring in a great play.

“I want to do a great play, like Shakespeare, a Greek play or a classical Spanish play from the 16th century. For the 100 years to come back with a great work and with a full theater “, said the first actor with a smile on his face.

Throughout his extensive career, Ignacio López Tarso has been part of more of movies, such as “Macario” and “Nazarín”; in more than 20 series and 34 telenovelas such as “The right to be born”, “Senda de gloria” and “Esmeralda”.
