Javier Chicharito Hernández congratulated Jesús Manuel “Tecatito” Corona on his arrival at Sevilla FC in the winter transfer market. Hernández has been one of the three Mexican soccer players who has played in the Sevillian team.

“Congratulations on this great step forward in your career with Sevilla FC. They really are going to treat you amazingly, phenomenally. Beyond the fact that my time there was very short, they always treated me very well, it feels like being in a family, in a beautiful city”, said Chicharito.

With Sevilla, Chicharito Hernández played a total of 15 games and only scored three goals and did not provide any assistance.

“I send you a hug, I wish you the best. I know that you will do very well, you know the coach very well and the coach knows you very well. Sevilla takes an extraordinary player, but a better person”.

Tecatito Corona signed for the next three and a half seasons with Sevilla, a team led by Julen Lopetegui, who asked for Corona after having led him for a while at Porto de Portugal

The Mexican national team chose to have his nickname on his number, and his number nine is a historic one in football , and also for Sevilla, which has seen players such as: Carlos Bacca, Álvaro Negredo, Frédéric Kanouté, Iván Zamorano and Luuk de Jong pass through their ranks, to mention to some.

Corona would sign an agreement until 2021, and the cost of the operation for Sevilla would be almost 3.5 million dollars. The Mexican had no intention of renewing his contract with Porto, which is due to expire this summer. Therefore, the Portuguese had greater motivation to negotiate their token and thus receive a certain economic benefit.
