Bad news for Pumas: Marco García suffered a fractured fibula and will undergo surgery

In less than 24 hours the youth midfielder Marco García experienced the two opposite sides of football. He went from scoring a good goal in the 1-3 victory of the Pumas de la UNAM against the Gallos Blancos de Querétaro, to suffering an injury that will keep him out of the fields for a long time.

This Saturday the Pumas medical team reported Garcia’s definitive diagnosis on the social networks of the feline institution : “Fibula fracture of the right leg. It will be assessed by the surgeon to determine the appropriate procedure”, reads the statement.

García had appeared on the scoreboard of the game against Gallos Blancos one minute later 45 to partially put the game 1-2, thanks to a mid-distance shot that ended In the net. Then al 75′ suffered a hard fall that did not allow him to continue in the game, while the cats had already exhausted the changes.

His face, his look said that nothing was going well and the next day the fracture was confirmed.

It is only the second day of the Closing Tournament 2022 and already Pumas receives this blow. They have not yet reported the estimated time that the player of 21 years of age will be out.

In the Clausura 2020, when it was his debut, Marco García had also undergone surgery for a knee injury that left him out for more than a year.
