Tigres says goodbye to the Volcano: discover the futuristic design of the new feline stadium, an investment of $320 million dollars that will host NFL games

Tigres de la UANL will have a new and impressive house for $320 millions of dollars. The Mexican team will leave the Volcano to receive their rivals in an incredible construction that will be the envy of all America. With a futuristic look, the new design of a more than ambitious project that will end a story of more than 50 years of the old feline stadium.

In a press conference offered on the field of the Tigres stadium, it was announced that Populous will assume the reins of this new project

. The design of the new stadium was revealed in the presence of the Governor of Nuevo León, Samuel García; the head of Sports Synergy, Mauricio Doehner ; the president of Tigres de la UANL, Mauricio Culebro ; the Associate Senior Designer of Populous, Mauricio Ceballos; the rector of the Autonomous University of Nuevo León, Santos Guzmán, among other personalities.

“The tiger profile is building what will be the new house for Tigres and all the fans that characterized by supporting with courage and roots and even the last. Of course we deserve a new stadium, it is a yearning for several years ”, revealed Mauricio Doehner.

Populous is a renowned architectural firm that has among its designs important sports structures such as the new Wembley stadium, the Tottenham stadium, the BBVA de Rayados de Monterrey as well as other important venues.

“From our office in London, where I have been working for 10 years, we want to share our experience in soccer, which we have acquired for our closeness to the best leagues in Europe”, said Mauricio Ceballos.

An impressive capacity

Although the Volcano has a large capacity of around 42,000 viewers, this new stadium will have a much larger capacity. The new UANL Tigres stadium will have a capacity for 65,000 fans who want to enjoy a great sporting spectacle.

The NFL will arrive in Nuevo León

Faced with this impressive project, the governor of Nuevo León, Samuel Garcia, did not hide his expectation that this new stadium would have the possibility of hosting great NFL teams. The political leader expressed the desire to see the Dallas Cowboys play, San Francisco 48ers or Las Vegas Raiders.

Tourism will arrive I have no doubt that they will come from all over the world to see my Tigres, to see first-world shows, to also see games of norteño teams, from other sports and that it will be an icon, the new cathedral of Nuevo León. I am very excited because once playing American football I had to play a Final in this stadium and now have the opportunity to play the NFL in Nuevo León, to see my Cowboys, to the Niners or the Raiders, this new stadium will fulfill many dreams”, he sentenced.

When will the new UANL Tigres stadium be inaugurated?

Reports indicate that this project would be finished at early from 2025. As of this date, the new Nuevo León stadium will be ready to open its doors to the public.
