The Águilas del América continue planning their reinforcements for the next Bell. The Mexican team ya gave the Liga MX something to talk about by bringing in Jonathan dos Santos. The offensive sector is armed, but Santiago Solari’s team is after a piece from the Bundesliga: Jorge Meré.
For a few weeks there has been talk of the possibility that the Spanish footballer will reach the nest. The central defender would be a key piece to supply the casualties of a depleted defensive sector. Emanuel Aguilera was one of the pieces that came out of the club and the institution wants to place a reference to Sebastián Cáceres, Jordan Silva and Bruno Valdez.
This information was no longer just a rumor after FC Köln’s own coach, Steffen Baumgart, acknowledged that there is interest in his defender.
“ I can confirm that there is a specific offer for him (Jorge Meré) and that we are thinking about it. I have the feeling that he also wants to change ”, revealed the strategist.

With only 24 years old, the Spanish soccer player could be a fundamental piece in Santiago Solari’s team. The central defender was trained in the lower ranks of Sporting de Gijón . Meré debuted with the Spanish team and played more than 60 matches before leaving for Germany.
His time in the Bundesliga with FC Köln is made up of 96 games played. However, this season has not been good for Meré, since the Spanish footballer has only played 9 games.
Jorge Meré can also presume that he has been part of the lower categories of the selection of Spain . The defender played in the combined Sub-17, Sub-19, Sub-19 and Sub-21 of his country.
