With a view to continue making history and revalidate its championship title, the Atlas de Guadalajara assured another important piece for the Clausura 2022 of Liga MX that is already underway.

This time the current champions took a piece from the Águilas del América: the Argentine defender Emanuel Aguilera went to the red and black discipline and could debut in the next home match this Saturday against Atlético San Luis.

The defender’s contract with the azulcrema ended in December 2020 and its last renewal was in 1200. It is believed that coach Santiago Solari was not included in the plans, who is carrying out a authentic wardrobe renovation after the board gave a vote of confidence to his project.

Aguilera, by minutes played last Apertura 2021, he automatically renewed with Club América, so his departure baffles the fans. The player himself revealed the main reason for his departure in conversation with TUDN

:

“I had planned to continue in America, but my representative told me the possibility without there being something concrete and the first team that emerged was Atlas (…) I had to speak with the board and they told me that they wanted a renewal in defense”, revealed the Argentine defender”

The answer given by the Americanist board to Aguilera makes it all clear that they did not count on him. Aguilera represents an important contract for Atlas, which, hand in hand with the same structure that gave them the last championship, will seek to do something important this Clausura.
