Sheriff’s Officer Tyler Shiels pulled over Xiong for speeding on Interstate 80 and Xiong made a series of statements about his “disapproval of the government due to the sexual abuse of children” and said he had money in his car for “funeral expenses,” according to court records.

Xiong was arrested on 21 December in Cass County and found to be had an AR rifle – 15, ammunition, ammunition magazines, bulletproof vests and medical kits wrote Secret Service agent Justin Larson in a criminal complaint.

Xiong was detained and interrogated by the Secret Service from the United States and declared that “he is the only person left who can free America from evil and it is necessary that he kill those in positions of power.”

Xiong had been driving from his home near Sacramento, California, since 18 December “with the intention of driving directly to the White House… to kill people in power,” Larson wrote.

Talking to the investigators s, Xiong said that “evil individuals he intended to kill” included Biden, Fauci, former President Barack Obama and Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg , authorities said.

Xiong, identified as an employee of a convenience store Merced groceries, showed investigators a drawing of the White House grounds, “including a perceived ‘weak spot’ that he identified during his pre-attack investigation,” Larson wrote.

“He added that if they released him, he would immediately travel to the White House again … and ‘do whatever was necessary’ to complete his plan, “says the complaint.

” Xiong stated that he has no intention of returning to California to see his family because he plans to die while fighting evil demons in the White House, ”he said.

Federal prosecutors in Iowa initially filed criminal complaint against Xiong sealed, on 22 December, and Xiong made his first court appearance December 27 by Zoom, according to court records.

The federal judge Stephen H. Locher ordered the complaint to be opened on Wednesday and wrote that the government “had not met its burden of proving that the restriction of the right of public access is necessary for an overriding government interest, ”according to The Sacramento Bee.

Locher ordered Xiong to remain in custody pending a detention hearing and preliminary hearing Thursday, according to court documents.
