After the moment became viral on social networks, dozens of criticisms appeared towards this animal center, one of them was that of the activist and president of the Invictus Foundation, a veterinary hospital for big cats, Erika Ortigoza Vázquez, who denounced the lack of dignified and respectful treatment and non-compliance with a management plan for wildlife.

The former deputy also requested the intervention of environmental authorities, in order to define responsibilities, as she denounced that what happened evidenced the deficiencies and absence of protocols for the reproduction of this species in said space of animal captivity.

After explaining that this behavior in which a lion devours another occurs in nature when animals feel threatened, he pointed out that in places in captivity must have control measures for successful reproduction.

For this, he added, a maternity area must be adapted, with a closed circuit, to monitor the female; or have a night room where it is isolated to guarantee the reproduction of the species, allow its growth and later integrate it with the rest of the group.

The environmentalist directed complaints to environmental authorities in order to request that the Tuzoofari “be inspected, that it be sanctioned for what was committed, because no management program authorized by the general direction of wildlife can omit measures of biosecurity, especially if they have reproduction. ”
