Photo: Border Patrol rescues a 6-year-old Honduran boy who had been carrying his one-year-old cousin

Agents of the Border Patrol sector of the River , Texas rescued a six-year-old boy who was carrying his one-year-old cousin and taking care of a five-year-old boy who was traveling alone, all three from Honduras .

The little ones were found by agents of the Border Patrol when were traveling in a group of 27 migrants who entered States without a document United near Del Río .

The group included the six-year-old child who cared for his one-year-old cousin and another little five-year-old traveling alone.

According to the authorities, the angels had handwritten notes with phone numbers of relatives in the United States . And only one of the children carried a copy of a birth certificate.

Later, Border Patrol agents encountered a group of five immigrants near Del Río.

In that group there were two unaccompanied siblings, aged nine and seven. The children had contact information for relatives in United States and birth certificates.

“These five children made a very dangerous trip,” said Del Rio Sector Chief Patrol Agent Jason D. Owens.

“They were put into the hands of criminal smugglers by the same people who are supposed to take care of them. I am grateful that Border Patrol agents were there to intercede and ensure their safety before something bad could happen. ”Owens sentenced.

The five children found in the two different Operations are from Honduras and will be processed in accordance with the policies of Customs and Border Protection of the United States, where for now they are protected.
