After the demand for Covid tests has skyrocketed – 19, for the new Omicron variant, Amazon, CVS Health, and Walgreens reported that they will limit the number of home tests customers can purchase.
Amazon is limiting purchases of its coronavirus test collection kits to a maximum of 10 per customer.
“As in other retailers, We are experiencing inventory shortages in some Covid tests – 19 due to higher demand, ”an Amazon spokesperson told FOX. “We are working hard to secure additional trial inventory available from our sales partners.”
The company said third-party vendors can set their own product quantity limits for Covid testing – 19 available on its website.
Meanwhile, CVS confirmed to the media that it will limit customers to six home test kits per purchase of their five over-the-counter offerings, including Abbott BinaxNOW, Acon FlowFlex, Quidel Quickvue, Ellume, and Pixel by LabCorp.
