Amazon: Chicago employees ask for salary increase and go on strike
Within days of the end of the year, Amazon warehouse workers left two Chicago-area facilities, demanding a $ 5 salary increase and safer working conditions.
Amazonians United Chicagoland, the company’s workers’ advocacy group, has closely followed what is happening, especially since workers they assure that the company has not fulfilled many labor demands to which they committed to them .

The protest was only given on Yesterday as a sign of pressure on the company, they resumed activities today, but it occurs in a context where employees of the shipping company seek to unionize four Amazon sites in New York City.

After the one-day work stoppage, Amazon made it clear that it respects its employees exercising their right to protest, but they say they are proud of the treatment given to their collaborators.
