A dozen fans injured after bar clash in Honduras

A dozen fans were wounded this Thursday by gunshots after a confrontation between fans of the Olimpia and Real España teams , who are playing the second leg of the final of the Honduran Apertura tournament tonight.

The confrontation took place outside the Francisco Morazán Stadium, in San Pedro Sula, headquarters of Real España, where according to local Honduran media versions, There was a violent clash between fans of both teams , which left at least a dozen fans injured.

The clash was recorded more than two hours before the final of the Apertura tournament is played between Olimpia, of Argentine Pedro Troglio, and Real Spain, of Mexican Raúl ‘Potro’ Gutiérrez.

The injured were transferred to a state hospital in San Pedro Sula , where they receive medical attention, according to official reports.

A video released by Honduran media shows how a group of Real Spain fans begin to throw stones at the Olimpia bar , which responded in the same way, despite the presence of cen tenars of police officers.

The president of Real España, Elías Burbara, affirmed in a message on Twitter that the “ problem (was) controlled. Changes are coming in protocol “. However, local media report that “altercations” are also recorded inside the stadium between fans who had already entered.
