The past 19 passed away the Spanish singer Carlos Marín , member of the group Il Divo , after catching COVID – 19. Several personalities from the world of music remembered the artist, famous for his vocal talent, simplicity and good treatment; now the British producer, entrepreneur and talent scout Simon Cowell paid a tribute to Marín, making use of his social networks.
It was in 2003 when Cowell, inspired by the success of the three tenors – Plácido Domingo , Luciano Pavarotti and José Carreras ) had the idea of bringing together four opera singers, but to perform popular ballads. The following year the group’s first album was released, and spawned a successful career in which they sold more than 30 million. records.
“I find this so difficult to put into words to express how I feel. I am devastated by the passing of Carlos Marín. He loved life. He loved acting and always had a lot of appreciation for the fans who supported the group from day one . Rest in peace Carlos. I will miss you ”, was the message with which Simon Cowell recalled the Spanish singer, whom he considered a good friend more than an artist.
