The UEFA Appeal Committee determined that the Tottenham Hotspur was eliminated for not being able to play the commitment against Stade Rennais , in the group stage of the Conference League, for the cases Covid – 19 which forced the London team not to show up for the match.

In Group G, shared with Vitesse from the Netherlands and Mura of Slovenia, the Tottenham had to face the commitment with the group leader on December 9 in London, however, UEFA determined that there was a ‘forfeit’ by not showing up and the commitment was 3 to 0 for the French team.

Tottenham were second in Group G, but with the administrative defeat ended up being surpassed by the Vitesse of the Netherlands. However, the reason for the elimination of Spurs is because there was no time to reschedule the commitment against Rennais.

Before the decision made by UEFA, Tottenham had already defined their confrontation in the next phase where they were going to face Rapid Vienna of Austria , but in their place will be the Dutch team for the Playoff round.
