Some thieves stole money and jewelery at the home of Italian international Salvatore Sirigu, exporter of Sevilla or Osasuna, while he was playing with Genoa in the field of Lazio , in the eighteenth round of Serie A.
The robbers entered Sirigu’s house in Genoa on the night of Friday passing on the balcony and they stole silver and gold jewelry. Despite the alarm going off, they managed to escape before the police arrived, Italian media reported.
Sirigu was at that time in Rome, where his Genoa lost 1-3 in his visit to Lazio at the Olympic stadium.
The Italian goalkeeper played in his career in Spain , six months at Sevilla and six months at Osasuna, after a previous experience at Paris Saint Germain.
It is not the first time that footballers in Italy have suffered robberies at their homes while they are playing a match. One of the most recent cases was that of Arturo Vidal, who had some jewelery and watches stolen while he was playing a match with Inter Milan.
