Americans don't expect economic improvement in 2022, survey finds

A majority of Americans do not have good expectations of an economic improvement in 2022, so they left it See a survey prepared by Bankrate. The study found that two-thirds of the adults consulted do not expect their financial situation to improve next year .

Of the 2, 450 respondents, the 46% considered that its economic situation will remain the same next year, while the 26% said their finances will get worse; of that 26%, the 17% noted that their financial conditions could worsen in some way , while 8% suggest that its conditions will become significantly bad.

Close to a 56% said that inflation is one of the biggest problems to overcome for the economic recovery next year, including the 70% of those who considered that their financial situation will worsen and the 37% of those who expect their conditions to remain the same.

While, a third of those who considered that their financial situation will not improve, they have mentioned the pandemic that is still occurring as one of the problems to achieve improvements in their situation, including a 37% of those who do not expect positive changes in their economy and a 31% of those who believed that they will remain the same .

Other reasons cited have been life circumstances, 27%, stagnant or declining wages 23%, the amount of debt 18%, changes in rates interest, 18 %, and the amount of money obtained in savings and investments 15%.

Only a third of adults in the United States expect improvements in their financial situation , of which 9% said their conditions will be significantly better and a 23% who think they will improve in some way ma.

Top reasons mentioned for potential improvement include getting more money at work, 46%, have less debt, 36%, generate more money in savings and investments, 27%, a change in life circumstances such as health or family, 24%, and the resolution continues or the end of the pandemic 20%.

Meanwhile, the main financial objective of adults in the United States, during the new year, is to pay off their debt. Save for emergencies, 14%, improves budget management, 13%, and saving for retirement were also some of the top financial goals listed by respondents.

Investing more money, having a better paying job and buying a house were also on the list. Also, the 18% of those surveyed indicated not having financial goals for the next year.
