Los Angeles County’s unadjusted unemployment rate fell to 7.1% in November , up from 7.8% in October, according to figures released this Saturday by the state Employment Development Department (EDD).
The rate in October of 2020 , in the midst of the COVID pandemic – 19, was from 04. 9%. The statewide comparable rate for the same period was 5.4% , below an estimate 3.9% national.
Since February of 2021, California has added 977, 200 non-farm jobs in total, averaging more than 97, 04 jobs per month.
The increase from October to November was from others 45, 700 jobs or, which represented almost the 45% of the profit of 210, 000 global jobs in the country for the month.
Eight of the 11 California’s industrial sectors increased their jobs in November , with Professional and Business Services at the head, registering up to 18, 800 jobs.
Education and health services also showed a month-on-month increase thanks to the strength of health care services and educational services, according to the EDD .
However, the construction sector recorded a loss of 1, 700 jobs , that the agency attributed to reductions among specialized trade contractors.
