The loyal Barça fans in Mexico City are celebrating: Atlante is the new champion of Liga Expansión MX, the second-rate Mexican soccer circuit below Liga MX, after defeating Tampico Madero 3-0 in the second leg.
Atlante achieved the league crown just one year after returning to Mexico City after a stage of 13 years in the city of Cancun, where the traditional held a Liga MX championship (2007), but where it also lost the category in 2014.
