8-year-old girl was injured by a stray bullet that entered her home in Anaheim

An 8-year-old girl was injured by a stray bullet to when he was in the living room of his home, this Wednesday night in Anaheim .

Anaheim police reported that the shooting occurred on the block 300 from East Valencia Avenue, near S. Anaheim Boulevard, at approximately 07: 12 pm .

The authorities suspect that the shooting was gang related .

The girl was transferred to a hospital for medical attention.

No other family member was reported as injured by the shooting.

Anaheim Police Sgt. Shane Carringer indicated that the bullet is not life threatening of the minor .

The officer said that at least one shot It occurred from outside the home, but it was not yet clear who was the target of the attack or if the shot came from a vehicle or an individual on foot.

So far there is no description of the person or persons who caused the shooting.
