Plane crashes in Dominican Republic; Nine people die, including the producer “Flow La Movie”

A private jet crashed on Wednesday near the runway of the capital’s international airport of Dominican Republic, where its nine occupants died.

According to the statement issued by the operator, The aircraft had two crew members on board, Luis Alberto Eljuri and Victor Emilio Herrera, and seven passengers. The plane, with registration HI 1050, was destined for Orlando, in the United States.

“For Helidosa, this accident causes us great pain and regret. And we ask to accompany with prudence and solidarity to support the affected families who, together with us, are going through this very difficult time “, said the operator in the statement.

Officially the flight departed from La Isabela airport, in Santo Domingo, and was bound for Orlando, Florida , but it deviated after taking off due to a technical problem and crashed while trying to make an emergency landing at Las Américas airport.

Brigadier General Enmanuel Souffront Tamayo, director of the Air Accidents Investigative Commission, indicated that “all the occupants died as a result of the impact” of the aircraft.

It is still “premature” to establish the causes of the accident, “we just started to do a survey to start the investigation process, listen to the recordings of the control tower”, among other actions, Souffront pointed out from the scene of the incident.
