Remain in Mexico: Ciudad Juárez receives the first migrants returned by the United States.

CIUDAD JUAREZ, Mexico – The first migrants who requested asylum in the United States and were affected by the reinstatement of the Migrant Protection Program (MPP) or “Remain in Mexico” arrived this Wednesday at the border Ciudad Juárez from the United States.

To the Lerdo international bridge, which connects Juárez with El Paso , Texas, arrived unaccompanied two men, one of Nicaraguan origin and the other Honduran.

Customs and Border Protection (CBP) authorities of The United States and the Mexican National Guard guided them until they reached the immigration offices, where they were tested for Covid – 19.
