Several warehouses closed on Tuesday, while Amazon was down, delaying deliveries and frustrating idle workers.
Users started reporting issues on Tuesday morning and the platform was still down for many by the late, so the company will take a few days to catch up on its delayed deliveries because of the problem.
Amazon announced around 2. 43 pm that “has mitigated the underlying problem causing network problems and is working towards a full recovery across all services.”
Nevertheless, Before the outage was brought under control, many warehouses were forced to close.
Business Insider reports that a warehouse in the Pacific Northwest saw that “Anything that used a comp utadora ”shut down during the outage, leaving employees inactive.
A small delivery crew hired by Amazon told Business Insider that many of your East Coast drivers who were already on the road when the blackout occurred around noon and had to pull over to the side of the road.
Some delivery drivers on the East Coast did not see their workday affected by the outage, and on the West Coast, the outage started when most trucks were not yet loaded.
Many West Coast drivers waited in parking lots, unable to determine the destination of each package.
“My DSP has wrote a user on Reddit.
“Just waiting. Our warehouse can’t scan or pack, so we have to wait for them to do that part. As a brother, let’s go home, before we all get pneumonia and can’t really drive. ”
According to the NY Daily News, the problem involved the company’s US-East-1 servers, a hub for the computing platform in the Amazon cloud.
People reported having difficulty logging in, accessing Amazon-owned websites, the Amazon app, or your AWS console.
Ring, Disney + and even Tinder users were said to be experiencing issues.
Problem reports in the United States began to increase around 10: 30 am ET.
The problem also affected users all over the world.
