Without Chicharito, Carlos Vela, or Chofis López: MLS excludes Mexicans from its team of the year
The Mexican footballers were key players in their American league teams. However, the two most important and who showed a very outstanding performance could not transcend in the MLS. Javier “Chicharito” Hernández could not hold Los Angeles Galaxy and J avier Eduardo “Chofis” López was not enough for the San José Earthquakes to set course . Under these circumstances the MLS decided not to recognize them.
Even though both players were protagonists of goals of high invoice and with great importance for their clubs , this was not enough to be recognized by the organization of the United States league.
“Chicharito” and “Chofis” remained among the tournament’s leading scorers, Javier Hernández marked 17 goals , while Javier Eduardo López took an impressive amount of 12 targets.

The “Bombardero” was the last Aztec footballer to appear in the MLS ideal eleven . You have to go back to 2019, in the historical season in the one that Candle scored 34 goals in soccer in the United States.
