The popularity of tacos al pastor is not only experienced in Mexico, but in various parts of the world, such as the United States, however, few diners have ever seen a meat structure with the capacity to make almost 40, 000 tacos.

It is about a giant top of the shepherd, whose location is in Aguascalientes, Mexico, in a popular taquería called Los Cuñados.

The image of the huge pile of enchilada meat, stacked to cook over low heat, gained great relevance on social networks, which was shared through a TikTok video, where you look at one of the employees, who, apparently, will be in charge of serving the tacos.

According to media locals, the spinning top, as it is usually called, accumulated almost a ton Meat salad ready to delight the palates of tourists and frequent customers. The video corresponds to the past 27 November when the taqueria turned 20 years old.

Despite the enormous size, is not the largest spinning top in the world, because exactly the same business has a world record; in 2017 they built the shepherd’s top called “The World’s Greatest Brother-in-Law.”

From that top created with 5, 075 kilos of meat to the shepherd, more than 190, 000 tacos , so this new tower of meat will have been achieved close to 30, 000 portions.

It is believed that the famous taco al pastor is actually an adaptation of the traditional “shawarma”, an Arab bread stuffed with spiced lamb meat, that appeared at the beginning of the decade of the years 20 in Mexico thanks to the arrival of Lebanese migrants.
