BMW will celebrate the 50th anniversary of its Motorsports line with new colors and a new badge

BMW has announced that it will hold the 50 Anniversary of its Motorsports division with a large number of color options and a new badge that will be available on various models from March 2022. According to the official statement of the brand, it is about 50 new paint finishes that will include Dakar Yellow, Fire Orange, Daytona Violet, Macao Blue, Imola Red or Frozen Marina Bay Blue, colors that have had historical significance for the brand and that revive this half-century history.

Regarding the new insignia, the brand has returned to the origins of this division to give it a retro feel inspired by the logo that was used for the first time in 1973 , which was not only composed of representative initials but of three basic colors: blue, red and violet. For BMW, blue is the defining color of the brand, while red represents the world of racing. The presence of violet describes the link between both worlds.
