This is the case of Christian Torres, the jewel of Los Angeles FC who is compared to Carlos Vela.
Christian Torres undoubtedly has a very promising future, born in Fontana, California , the young forward debuted with only 16 years old and became the youngest player to participate in the MLS Playoffs . Since that appearance, the young soccer player has not been lost sight of and revealed that has had a guide in Carlos Vela.
“Carlos Vela is a great player, during training we talked. Also when we eat together he is a great person, he gives me a lot of advice to do something else on and off the court ”, Torres revealed to Halftime.
Despite having been tested by the lower United States teams, the Mexican Soccer Federation called Christian Torres and the young footballer from 17 years of age was part of the squad that won the Revelations Cup . This participation represented his first call to El Tri Sub – 20.
“ I went to some concentrations with the United States and with them it was fine . But it is not difficult to choose, I feel good about Mexico right now, I am focused on them . I am very happy with them, they are all very friendly with me. It is easy to live together, it is very nice that from the first day I met nice people ”, he sentenced.
In addition to the influence of Carlos Vela, Torres recognized the fundamental role that his father has played in the election of Mexico. “ My father’s family is from Michoacán , that’s why I’m Mexican and I have the opportunity to go to the national team . My family is very happy about that. My first time I came I didn’t speak any Spanish ”, explained Torres.
