Dr. Hoss explains that without vitamins A, D and K2, calcium cannot be absorbed and delivered to your teeth, no matter how much you consume.

The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics also notes that phosphorus is a mineral that helps strengthen teeth. Vitamin C promotes healthy gums. Deficiency of this vitamin can cause inflammation, bleeding gums and loosening of teeth.

What to order in a fast food restaurant to promote oral health

Dr. Kami Hoss recommends not brushing your teeth for a few 30 to 60 minutes after eating, as your teeth will be weakened during this acidic environment.

The dentist who is part of The Board of Trustees of the University of California School of Dentistry explains that almost any food, especially fast food, will cause the mouth to become acidic for a few 30-60 minutes; Part of it is from food and drink and part of it is due to enzymes in saliva that break down food.
