Ford has revealed two new limited editions of its celebrated Mustang that will be available for the year 2022: Mustang Shelby GT 500 Heritage Edition and the Mustang Coastal Limited Edition . Both models celebrate the legacy of this car that has become an icon of the brand and of the entire American automotive industry and that continues to transform as technology advances, even moving towards an all-electric model like It is the Mustang Mach-E . The limited editions presented by Ford this time are also accompanied by the reveal of a new exclusive paint shade that has been created by Ford Performance: Code Orange.
Created by Carroll Shelby, American pilot and businessman, the Shelby GT 500 first saw the light in 1967 to become synonymous with power and technology as time progressed . This time, the new limited edition revives the legend with the same Brittany Blue shade, but also adds other customization options for its appearance such as exterior race stripes that can be painted or made of vinyl, depending on the client’s taste. It promises the same power and endurance that already characterizes it and will be on the streets in the spring of 2022, as orders started this week.
On the other hand, the Mustang Coastal Limited Edition 2022 is a convertible version with an EcoBoost Premium engine capable of producing 310 horsepower. It is an edition made for lovers of open-air driving that has also been inspired by life near the sea. It will be available with a whole customization package and in several shades: Brittany Blue, Cyber Orange and Rapid Red, with the exception of Code Orange, which has been reserved for the new Mustang Shelby GT 500 Heritage Edition.
In addition to Code Orange, the Mustang family 2022 will also have other colors : Atlas Blue Metallic, Brittany Blue Metallic , Cyber Orange Metallic Tri-Coat, Dark Matter Gray Metallic, Eruption Green Metallic, Grabber Blue Metallic and Mischievous Purple Metallic.
