In a qualifying match for the Women’s Asian Cup to be held in 2022, the teams of Iran and Jordan faced the last 25 of September, however, it transpired that the Jordanian Federation of Football asked to investigate the sex of the Iranian guard.

The Jordanian federation argued that the goalkeeper Zohreh Koudae i, who had an outstanding performance in that commitment, he could be a man and the fact has transcended to such an extent that Prince Ali Ben Al-Hussein , president of the Jordanian representation, made a formal request to investigate the player for gender issues, suspend Iran and give the result in her favor.

The Asian Football Confederation rejected Jordan’s request for investigation, claiming that it was not an ethical procedure and confirming that gender is indeed female.

On the other hand, the Iran Football Federation argued that this is not the first time this has happened, due to the player’s physique and that on past occasions she has been the object of ridicule and questioning.

On that occasion, the guard Zohreh Koudaei had a memorable performance in stopping two penalties against Jordan, to secure their pass to the Asian Cup to be played in India next year.
