About 3,000 users in a Los Angeles neighborhood were without power due to a truck collision

For more than five hours, thousands of residents in Silver Lake were left without power service this Monday due to a crash of a truck against a pole .

At approximately 4: 30 am this Monday, a pickup truck crashed into a utility pole in the intersection of Sunset Boulevard and Micheltorena Street.

Elements of the Los Angeles Fire Department they had to intervene to put out the fire in the truck caused by the collision with the pole.

The Los Angeles Police Department indicated that the driver of the truck fled the scene and no injuries were reported from the accident.

The officers waited until it was confirmed that the cables were not active to be able to approach the vehicle and verify that there was no person inside.

It was calculated that about 3, 000 residents of the area were left without electricity . The service was gradually re-established shortly after 10 am
