Garcetti is scheduled to arrive at Washington DC this Sunday and on Tuesday will begin the trip to Los Angeles .

In accordance with the UN protocols for the Climate Change conference, the mayor of Los Angeles performed self-administered tests with swabs nasal passages during the trip, which began on November 1, and tested negative. He also received two more negative results on November 3.

During Garcetti’s absence, the president of the City Council, Nury Martínez, served as interim mayor, according to the city charter.
